Our Beliefs

We believe in a biblical world view, grounded in God’s Word and being charitable to those whom we differ, modeling kindness, humility, and civility.  The Word & Water Project chooses to partner with those who uphold these virtues and to “hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thess. 5:21) while also recognizing the need to “hold firmly the word of life” (Phil. 2:14-16).

Evangelism has always required conviction and courage. We uphold the Manhattan Declaration which reminds us that even though there are important differences between and among Christian traditions, we can work together for the common good on these key areas, providing a witness to a watching world of how devoted men and women can work together on matters of central importance, taking up the call to engage the culture and the public square in a way that is faithful to the best of the great Christian tradition on the important matters of life, marriage, and religious liberty.
